Plastic Injection Moulding for Textile Machinery Spare Parts

A plastic spare part is more than its outside shape. Its function, assembly interfaces and working conditions all belong in the manufacturing discussion. At İva Öz Plastik, plastic injection moulding is the production method we use for textile machinery spare parts.

What happens in injection moulding?

In thermoplastic injection moulding, plastic material is heated and introduced into a mould. The component takes the form of the mould cavity, cools and is then removed. The machine, mould and selected material work together to produce the intended part.

This process description does not by itself establish the suitability of a replacement component for a particular machine. That requires a defined part, agreed material requirements and checks relevant to the application.

Define the component before discussing production

Provide a drawing or an identifiable reference sample where available. Identify mounting surfaces, bores, locating features and any relationship to adjacent components. A photograph helps explain appearance, but it cannot fully describe dimensions or assembly requirements.

If you only have a worn sample, tell the supplier which dimensions can still be measured reliably. Make clear whether the enquiry concerns an existing catalogue product or a different component that first needs a feasibility discussion. Do not assume that a similar-looking catalogue image confirms an exact match.

Discuss the working conditions

Tell the manufacturer how the part is used: where it is mounted, whether it contacts other moving components and how it is cleaned or maintained. If your documentation specifies a material, provide the exact reference rather than a broad description such as “black plastic”.

The material and acceptance criteria should be agreed for the particular application. Ask which details are confirmed and which depend on a drawing, sample or further review. Avoid treating colour, weight or surface appearance as a complete material specification.

Agree how the part will be checked

Before an order is finalised, align on the product code, revision, quantity and any agreed inspection points. Where a sample review is part of the arrangement, define what will be checked and who will confirm the result. Keep the approved reference with the purchasing record so that repeat enquiries refer to the same component.
